Teenage depression is a growing problem in today’s society and is often a major contributing factor for most adolescent problems. The statistics about teenage runaway, alcoholism, drug addiction, pregnancy, eating disorders and suicide are alarming. The common link to all of these crises is often depression. The path into adolescence a difficult one and the choices a teen makes can have lasting scars on the lives of a creative generation of young man and women. Teenage depression can be life changing even life threatening.
The thought of suicide is most commonly brought on by depression. Depression can also be known as a deadly illness that can ultimately send some teenagers on the downward spiral, towards suicide. Numerous teenagers will experience some type of depression in their lifetime and many people may not realize the commonality of teenage depression.
Depression reflects a sad or irritable mood exceeding grief or sadness. Problem of financial nature, loss of a loved one, a serious illness or nay other changes in life leads to depression.
