LAHORE The counsel of two innocent Pakistanis who were shot dead by the CIA chief in Pakistan, Raymond Allen Davis, approached the CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen Thursday for registration of a case against Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and other staff of Central Jail, Kot Lakhpat. The complainant has submitted an application against the aforesaid jail officials for illegally detaining him and his colleague in a darkroom to stop them from attending the case proceedings on Wednesday. As per details, Manzoor Butt, the counsel, along with the secretary general of Lahore Bar Rana Intizar Hussain and other lawyers visited the office of CCPO and presented an application against the officials of jail. The advocates demanded stern action against the jail officials alleging that the accused officials had intentionally stopped him and his junior Nauman Ateeq from attending the proceedings of the case and even they did not allow them to meet their clients. The complainant further revealed that the jail officials detained them from moving in and out the jail till four and half hours. Tareen assured the lawyers that the responsible persons would be held accountable in this regard.
