Accept demands or face pen-down strike: APCA

QUETTA - The All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) Balochistan chapter on Saturday warned observing pen-down strike across the province if its charter of demand was not accepted.
Hundreds of APCA workers from different districts of Balochistan took out a protest rally led by its president Dad Muhammad Baloch. The protestors raised slogans against the govt and demanded for immediate approval of their demands.
Their demands included an amended pay-scale, housing requisitions and the implementation of a school admission quota for the children of government employees. They said that despite the government’s approval of their charter of demands a few months ago, it had yet to be implemented.
While the sit-in, Dad Muhammad Baloch said “Clerks were leading a peaceful rally towards chief minister secretariat on March 15th, when law enforcement agencies not only stopped them but also subjected them of torture.” He added that their demands were genuine and they would not give up them. He also warned of observing pen-down strike and boycott of offices across the province from next week.
