BAHAWALPUR - President Asif Ali Zardari’s address to the joint session of the Parliament received mixed reaction from various circles of the city on Saturday.

Most of the people termed it a historic occasion and praised it while some remarked it only a jugglery of words as nothing has been done for public despite tall claims in the last four years by the PPP regime. The people from different walks of life were of the view that for the first time in the country’s history, a president addressed the Parliament for the 5th consecutive year his tenure.

 and termed it a good sign for democracy and democratic institutions,. Some of the citizens criticised the opposition’s protest and walkout of the House on the occasion of the president’s address.
