LAHORE - Former Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui has vowed to collectively work with the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to bring back past hockey glory. Talking to media at the Sargodha Hockey Stadium on Monday, Islah said that former Olympians had no personal differences with the PHF. “All we demanded that the federation should cater to our suggestions to save the national game. I, along with other ex-Olympians, have a fruitful meeting with the PHF management led by PHF chief Akhtar Rasool in which we have decided to work together to uplift the standard of Pakistan hockey. We have presented certain suggestions which the PHF has assured us to be properly implemented,” Islah added. He also lauded the PHF for holding a national level event after the name of late Brig (r) Manzoor Hussain Atif.–Staff Reporter
