LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister M Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced Rs 3 million for Balochistan government to hold the Balochistan Sports Festival (BSF) in a befitting manner.
On the directions of the Punjab CM, Director General Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Usman Anwar-led three-member delegation visited Quetta to help Balochistan government in organising the event successfully. During his visit, he met with Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and Core Commander Quetta Lt Gen Khalid Nawaz Janjua and briefed them how to hold the festival in a trend-setting manner.
Usman Anwar also assured them the all-out cooperation from Punjab government and Sports Board Punjab in holding their festival. The DG SBP also presented souvenirs to the Balochistan CM and Khalid Janjua from Sports Board Punjab.
He also informed them that the Punjab CM had expressed his joy over organising the Balochistan Sports Festival and also announced Rs 3 million for their government to hold the festival in a better way to provide youth opportunities to exhibit their prowess and play their role in progress of the country. The Balochistan CM welcomed the DG SBP and hoped that both the province could organise the sports festival jointly in future the purpose of which were keep youth of the country busy in healthy activities and provide them chances to groom well at the higher level.
The Balochistan CM also thanked the Punjab CM for sending the delegation to help them in holding the festival and stated that both the province would continue cooperating with each other.
