If Bangladesh has any chance to win tomorrow’s match, they will have to roll back time and repeat the heroics of the 2007 World Cup when they managed to knock India out of the running. They displayed a stellar bowling performance getting India out cheaply for just 191 runs. Even though they chased it down with just one over remaining, Tamim’s attacking knock at the start of their innings set the tone of what was to follow. India with possibly the best batting lineup was defeated rather easily at the end. 8 years later they now face each other at the MCG with the possibility of qualifying for the semifinals. India does not have all the big names that they had in 2007. What they now have is a group of individuals with tremendous spark and flare who can take the game away however; most of them are inexperienced as far as World Cups are concerned. This is exactly what the Bangladeshi team needs to exploit. Their attitude leading up to the encounter can play a major role in how they actually step out on the field and it’s been on the money. They want to go out swinging and according to them they want to take the giants off guard. Bangladesh is looking towards playing fearless attacking cricket which might just get them over the line. Its great for Bangladesh cricket for them to have come so far in the World Cup after a series of disappointing tournaments before. If Bangladesh manages to win tomorrow’s match, it will be the biggest win in the short history of Bengali cricket.
