rawalpindi   -  Four persons died while two were injured in separate incidents of firing, drowning and electrocution in different areas of twin cities, informed sources on Thursday.


According to sources, a man namely Mumtaz Ali committed suicide after shooting his wife Noreen in Wah Cantt, in the limits of Police Station Wah Saddar. A heavy contingent of police rushed to the crime scene and started an investigation. Rescue 1122 shifted the deceased man and injured woman to THQ Hospital Taxila for autopsy and medical treatment. The reason behind the incident could be not ascertained. In another incident in Islamabad, a government servant namely Ghulam Abbas committed suicide by hanging himself in the office of the Ministry of Privatization. Secretariat Police moved the body to PIMS for autopsy, sources said. Similarly, two youngsters drowned in Chota Dam in Rawat while swimming, sources said. The divers of Rescue 1122 fished out the bodies and moved them to hospital for post-mortem where the deceased were identified as Muhammad Ahsan (21) and Saif Ullah (19). Local police mentioned occurrence of incident in the daily crime register.


While a 10-year-old boy namely Muhammad Tanvir suffered burn injuries after touching an electric wire in a house located on IJP Road. Rescuers rushed the injured body to HFH Burn Unit, where his condition was stated to be critical.
