LAHORE - The government has been asked to adopt comprehensive strategy to resolve the issues of Swat and Balochistan taking all the political as well as religious parties into confidence. PML-N leader and Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Central Organiser of Punjab Asif Khan, President Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan Saleem Ullah Khan, Central secretary general ANP Ehsan Wayne, PPP Secretary Information in Punjab Dr Fakharuddin Chaudhry, Central Secretary General PML-Q Mehnaz Raffi and MQM leader Tahira Asif expressed these views while addressing a National Peace Conference organised by Tehreek Roshan Pakistan at Lahore Press Club here on Sunday. The speakers asked the government to provide fundamental rights to the masses of Balochistan and raise maximum funds for the rehabilitation of the people of military-hit areas. They also appealed all parties to unite for the sovereignty of Pakistan and demanded national policy to counter the foreign agenda of India, Israel and America to destabilise Pakistan. Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood said that all parties supported Nizam-i-Adl Regulation for implementation but when it resulted in destruction then the government hurriedly announced to launch a full-scale military operation in Swat and adjacent areas without taking all parties into confidence. He remembered his visit to Balochistan along with Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and said that common man in Balochistan favoured the sovereignty of Pakistan and wished peace, prosperity and secured future of his offspring. Suggesting the government for time frame of military operation, Rana Mashood said the government should take all parties on board and work sincerely for the rehabilitation of IDPs rejecting to accept the foreign dictation to run the government. PTI Central Organiser of Punjab Asif Khan suggested the government to choose the way of dialogue over military operation for establishing lasting peace in Swat. He said the government should take all parties and stakeholders into confidence on every national issue and demanded to work practically on suggestions of APC holding today (Monday). He said the government should also ensure the superiority of system by providing speedy economic justice to people. Central Secretary General ANP Ehsan Wayne alleged that the government was launching military operation in Balochistan instead to provide fundamental rights to the masses of the province. He said ANP believes in dialogue. I appeal to all parties to raise funds for the betterment of our fellow country men of Swat and save Pakistan, he added. PPP Punjab Secretary Information Dr Fakhruddin said that Nizam-i-Adl Regulation was implemented to show the real face of trouble creator Taliban, now all IDPs and masses of Pakistan were supporting military operation because they understood the intention of Taliban. He said every dictator-violated constitution for his personal interests, but one can judge that President Asif Ali Zardari has apologised on operations, on murder of late Nawab Akbar Bugti including the murders of three late Nawabs and announced millions-dollars package for the prosperity of Balochistan to minimise the sense of deprivation among the masses of the province. Central Secretary General PML-Q Mehnaz Rafi said that every political party has rejected Talibans interpretation of Islam, adding that this was an international conspiracy for destabilising Pakistan. She said the Sardars were all in all in Balochistan who, acting on foreign agenda, were provoking its masses against Pakistan. Supporting military operation, She further said the IDPs needed maximum funds and facilities instead of emotional statements passed by rulers. MQM leader Tahira Asif said that MQM was the only party who had rejected Nizam-i-Adl Regulation when it was being implemented and appealed the masses to support the army operation. She said the only solution of Balochistan issue was to minimise deprivation-sense prevailed in the province. JUP President Saleem Ullah Khan alleged that Indian consulates working in Afghanistan were providing ammunition and artillery to the Taliban of Swat. He said all parties and whole masses should unite for the sovereignty of Pakistan. The speakers also demanded the government for the accountability of former president besides all those dictators, leaders and American agents who violated the constitution and appreciated Tehreek-e-Roshan-e-Pakistan on holding such a successful National Peace Conference.
