Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani telephoned the Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday and discussed the national political scenario, report said. Besides discussing the issues of mutual interest, the two political figures exchanged views over the current political situation in the country. Reportedly, both the political heavy-weights agreed that the former President (Retd) General Pervez Musharraf must appear before the Supreme Court and face the situation. They also agreed to carry on their efforts for stability and strengthening of democracy in the country, pledging the democratic system will be safeguarded at all cost. Nawaz and PM Gilani also agreed to hold a meeting after MPL-N chiefs return to Pakistan.
