The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed Director Generals of the Federal Investigation Agency Islamabad and Lahore to appear on next date of hearing and apprise it over the proper action taken against those officials who facilitated Umar Farooq to leave the country despite restriction of Exit Control List (ECL). A three-member bench comprising Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Tariq Parvez and Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa issued a directive in a case relating to possession of two minor girls, Zainab and Zuhaira, daughters of Khushbakht Mirza, a model turned actress. The bench expressed dissatisfaction over the report submitted by FIA officials and observed that proper action might have been taken against the responsible persons.
