Assistant Post Master arrested


LAHORE – The Federal Investigation Agency Anti-Corruption Circle on Thursday arrested Assistant Post Master Aslam Qureshi and his two clerks for their alleged involvement in embezzlement of Rs 49.56 million, FIA Spokesman said. He said that arrested clerks included Usman Sindhu and Israr Ahmad. Three senior post masters, Azam Khan, Javed Qutab and Khalid Hashmi who were also involved in corruption are at large and FIA was conducting raids for their arrest.
A case has been registered against the accused and further investigations were underway.
Meanwhile, NAB Punjab arrested M. Amjad Khan an accountant, M/s Z.I Business Group Pvt Ltd for embezzlement of Rs.5,379,672. The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court for physical remand on Friday (today) for further interrogation.
As per details NAB Punjab filed a reference against accused after investigation. It was alleged that the accused involved in the business of an unauthorized Forex Trading and deposit taking from public at large. He misappropriated and embezzled the amount of Rs.5,379,672 of Z.I Business Group.
 and deprived investors of their money. The accused was arrested to unearth misappropriation and proceed further in the matter.
