Bokhari for inter-faith harmony

ISLAMABAD - Chairman Senate, Nayyer Hussain Bukhari Thursday stressed the need for promoting inter-faith harmony for progress and prosperity of the country.
In a meeting with three-member delegation of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat at Parliament House, he said all schools of thoughts must show unity to overcome the challenges being faced by Ummah. He observed that all the sects deserved respect as all believe in God and Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “Sectarianism is not in the country’s interest and there was a dire need to promote tolerance, peace and tranquility for good of all the sects and communities living in Pakistan,” Bokhari commented. He also appreciated the role of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat in the socio economic development of the country.
The Chairman Senate said that the government fully realised the importance of inter-faith harmony and was keenly working to encourage interaction to give peace a chance to flourish to make Pakistan an icon of love through peaceful co-existence. 
Representatives of the Jamaat, on behalf of their spiritual leader Dr. Syedna Borhanuddin Saheb, felicitated Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari upon his election as Chairman Senate. They agreed with the views of the Chairman Senate and prayed for the uplift of the country. They also exchanged views on matter of mutual interest and read out a special message.  The delegation comprised Ibrahim Jafar Bhai Saheb, Sheikh Mansoor Ali and Moeez Ali Bhai Saheb.
