KARACHI - Muhajir Sooba Tehreek chief Zahid Hussain on Thursday appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the injustices to Muhajir judges and lawyers from the PPP-led Sindh government. He demanded Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry to reject the names presented by the Sindh government to the Judicial Commission on May 18, alleging that it had bias against the Muhajir community, for which it violated the merit and proposed the names of only Sindhi judges. He questioned why the government ignored the senior judges and senior Urdu-speaking lawyers for the vacant posts in the Sindh High Court. He demanded the chief justice to reject the biased list and make appointments on merit.
