Man sells wife’s kidney


HAFIZABAD - A greedy man forcibly sold the kidney of his wife and kept his son confined wherein he tortured him for several days.
On the direction of the District and Sessions court, the police recovered the boy here the other day. As per detail, Shumaila Bibi, wife of Muhammad Siddiq, told that she was married to Muhammad Siddiq. To run the expenses of the house, she had to as maid in various houses.
Her husband tortured her and sold her kidney by force for Rs150,000. Seventeen days before Siddiq also snatched her seven-year-old son and confined him in his sister’s house, she added. Shumaila Bibi filed a writ petition with District and Sessions Judge Syed Maroof Ahmad Ali for the recovery of her son. On the direction of court, the police recovered the child and handed him over to his mother. The court also directed the police to provide sufficient security to Shumaila and her child.
DPO presents flowers to people: The District Police Officer Karamat Ullah presented flowers to common people to bridge the gap between the police and people here on Thursday. Talking to newsmen, the DPO said that steps were being taken to improve confidence building measures.
The DPO said it was the basic responsibility of the police to protect the life, honour and property of the common man. The DPO said that the public cooperation was vital for curbing criminals and anti-social elements from the society. Earlier, the DPO presented flowers to common men and also shook hand with them.
