N supporters booked for torturing cop

RAWALPINDI - Finally police registered a case on Thursday against the PML-N supporters who beat up a police assistant sub inspector badly on a petty issue some days ago.
“Though the delay in the issuance of medico-legal report halted the process yet police filed a case against the accused under sections 337-F (V), 337-F (I), 337-A (I), 365 and 511 on account of paralysing a cop in uniform,” informed Addl Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station (PS) Saddar Bairooni Tariq Gondal while talking to TheNation.
However, no accused has been netted so far, said Tariq adding that police parties have also been constituted to nab the accused, who fractured various body parts of ASI Ashraf at Ashraf Colony at Dhamial Road during a brawl on May 12, 2012.  “Police is conducting raids to arrest the accused Mubashir, Tufail and two unknown persons. Soon the culprits will be behind the bars,” Tariq Gondal added.
- Meanwhile, during a fresh crackdown, Rawalpindi police arrested 15 outlaws and recovered weapons, bottle of liquor and drug from their possession here on Thursday.
According to police spokesman, Waris Khan police station held Shan Masih and recovered 40 litres liquor. In another operation, Pirwadhi police arrested Safeer and recovered 40 litres liquor. Gujar Khan Police held Suleman and recovered 65 bottle of liquor from him. Police Station Wah arrested Shakir Ullah and recovered 295 round 30 bore from his possession.
Rashid was arrested by the Khauta Police for having illegal 30 bore pistol. Kalar Syedan police station held Abbas and recovered 30 bore pistol from him. Police Station Saddar Circle arrested Manzar Abbas and recovered 7mm pistol from his possession. Police have registered separate and started investigation.
