LAHORE – The Search Committee for the appointment of Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education’s (BISE) on Thursday finalised 27 names for the posts of secretaries and controllers examination in six boards.

Officials of Punjab Higher Education Department told TheNation that the three-member Search Committee was comprise Punjab Higher Education Department Additional Secretary (Academic) Zarak Mirza (Chairman), DPI (College) and an Ex-DPI Secondary Education. The officials said the department had received more 115 applications for nine posts of secretaries and controllers examination. They said nine posts were vacant including a post of controller examination in Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, secretary and controller examination in Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, secretary and controller examination in Sargodha Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, secretary and controller examination in Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, secretary in DG Khan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and secretary in Bahawalpur Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

The official said that the Search Committee had finalised 27 names for the appointments and the summery would be forward to the Punjab Chief Secretary. “The Chief Secretary will interview again and select nine names from 27,” they said.

Noushad Hameed, chief coordinator to Chief Minister Punjab, Dr Hafza Umer, Dr Naila Safdar, Dr Sobia Usman, Dr Fouzia Imran and Dr Beenish Ijaz expressed these views while talking at a seminar on ‘International Mother’s Day’ on Thursday. The seminar was organized by Institute of Public Health (IPH) at its day care centre, while parents and children, besides the staff of the IPH attended the programme.  They said that mother has reserves highest place in every part of the world, while Islam gives special place to the relation of mother in society due to her vital role building a society.

The speakers stressed the need for maximum facilities for mothers at public and private sector places keeping in view her important role for the society, while the working mothers should be facilitated at top priority.
