KARACHI - NBP CSR chief former Test spinner Iqbal Qasim has assured the national snooker fraternity bank’s long time commitment to the promotion of the game.

Speaking at the formal launching of the 4th edition of the NBP ranking snooker, the NBP official said his bank was supporting the ranking event for the last four years and intended to continue the support in future.

Also present on the occasion were PBSA chief Alamgir Shaikh, PBSA secretary Munawar Shaikh and Shabbir Daruwala.  Country’s top 41 players including the defending champion Imran Shahzad will appear in the event which will be played at Defense Creek Club May 21 to 29. A total prize purse of Rs 174,000 would be given to the contestants. The winner will get Rs 60,000 and the runner-up Rs 35,000.
