Paramedics’ strike continues


LAHORE – The paramedics working at public hospitals of the provincial capital continued their protest on 11th day for service structure and other demands on Thursday.
They took out a rally from the Services Hospital and staged a sit-in at Jail Road. They raised anti-government slogans and criticised it for not paying heed to their protests followed by strike at the public sector hospitals to accept their demands.
Punjab Paramedics Alliance Class-IV leaders Malik Munir, Rehmat Sindhu and other leaders said on this occasion they would continue agitation till the acceptance of their demands, which include service structure, regularisation of daily wages and contract employees and health professional allowance as well.
They announced to launch a fearsome agitation on May 21 across the province against the government for not accepting their demands.
