LAHORE – The Parliament will lose its sanctity if the Nato supply line is restored against its recommendations. The PTI will soon announce the future strategy on the issue, says PTI chief Imran Khan.He expressed these views while talking to the media at Allama Iqbal International Airport before his departure to London on Thursday. Imran said restoration of Nato supplies would tantamount to selling sovereignty for 365 million dollars. He said the United States was still adamant and not offering apology over the tragic incident in Mohmand Agency, where 24 Pakistan soldiers were killed in a cross-border attack, but the government was planning to restore the Nato supplies.Talking about next general elections, Imran claimed that he did not expect an independent Election Commission under the current government; however, his party was still determined to defeat the corrupt regime. He said a national conference on Nato supplies would be held on May 29, while party leaders, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi and Dr Arif Alvi, were given various tasks to organise the event. The PTI chief promised that each member of the PTI’s Central Executive Committee would declare their assets, which was planned to be displayed on the party’s website. He added that the parliamentary board would issue party tickets on the recommendations of district organisations of the party.Meanwhile, a PTI press statement has said that Tasneem Noorani has been made party’s convener for Punjab. Moreover, Tipu Sultan, Mumtaz Kahloon, Farid-ud-din Ahmed and Feroze Shah Gilani have been made regional conveners for North Punjab, West, Central and South regions of Punjab respectively.
