Peace with India impossible: Nizami

LAHORE – Pakistan Movement workers, renowned scholars, educationists and well known personalities from different walks of life have unanimously condemned any kind of relations with India at the cost of blood of Kashmiris.
“Aman ki Asha is a deception and who loves the country should not go near it,” speakers voiced collectively at a sitting at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Thursday.
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) and Pakistan Movement Workers’ Trust (PMWT) jointly organised the sitting on “Aman ki Asha and Our National Interest” in context of ongoing initiatives by some sections of Pakistan and India to build friendly relations between both the countries.
“Those who are the advocate of Aman ki Asha actually ask the patriotic Pakistanis not to talk about Kashmir, forget sacrifices and martyrs of thousands of brave Pakistanis for the country, accept the hegemony of India in the region and give her open right to stole the water of Pakistan,” they held.
TheNation Editor-in-Chief and NPT Chairman Majid Nizami, NPT Vice-Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, PMWT Chairman Colonel (r) Jamshed Ahmed Tareen, Lieutenant General (r) Zulfqar Ali Khan, Justice (r) Nazeer Akhtar, Dr Fareed Paracha, Engineer Salman Najeeb, Justice (r) Munir Ahmed Mughal, Begum Bushra Rehman, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Begum Suraya KH Khurished, Dr Parveen Khan, Pir Ijaz Hashmi and others were the speakers.
Majid Nizami said that India and peace were two opposite things and it was above to understand that how New Delhi could live peacefully with Pakistan.  “India wants Pakistan to accept its hegemony in the region and America is patronizing it,” he observed. Those who advocate friendship with India are either not understanding the facts or on the payroll of India and America, he added. The NPT Chairman said that atomic Pakistan would never accept the domination of India in the region.
“India is one amongst the largest buyers of arms in the world,” he said and questioned that what the purposes of India behind these missions are if it wanted peace with its neighbouring countries. Those who had fear from India should recall the Muslim’s rule on all over the Sub-continent, he stressed. Establishing trade relations with India without the solution of Kashmir dispute was sin and betray against Pakistan, said Majid Nizami. Since Kashmir was jugular vein of Pakistan, time will soon come when it will be freed and will be part of the country, he added.
Talking about the water aggression of India on Pakistan, Majid Nizami asked the people of Pakistan to be aware, realise the threat and be ready for a war against India. He said that the nation had no expectations from the incumbent President and Prime Minister that they would succeed to secure the water rights of Pakistan.
Dr Rafique said that when we talked about the establishment of peace, we must not forget our interest since the living nations did not compromise on their interests, he added. India had been hatching conspiracies against Pakistan since its birth and never accepted it a sovereign country, he held.  Jamshed Tareen said that those who had witnessed the scenes of Pakistan would never talk about Aman ki Asha. He said that people needed brave leadership who could confront challenges posed by India.
Zulfqar Khan said that Aman ki Asha was a planned scheme by Indian think tanks to establish its hegemony in the area. Pakistan had become unconquered after being atomic power.
Now enemies of Pakistan were conspiring in the shape of Aman ki Asha to control it through other means.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Mian Habib Ullah, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Brigadier (r) Zafar Iqbal, Dr MA Soofi, Brigadier (r) Farooq Hameed, Allama Ahmed Ali Kasuri, Brigadier (r) Muhammad Yousaf, Shafi Josh, Nasseb Ullah Gardezi, Ghulam Nabi Lone, Nazaqat Ali Golrvi, Salman Abid, Adeeb Javidani, Shujjat Hashmi, Prof Mashkoor Ahmed, Prof Muzaffar Mirza, Sadiq Jarral, Yasin Watoo, Dr Saeed Ahmed, Shafique Raza Qadri, Shahnaz Bano, Prof Muhammad Ali, Prof Mateeh Ullah Bajwa, Nawazish Ali Butt, Shahid Rasheed and Rafaqat Riaz.
