ISLAMABAD – In order to press government for the release of salaries, the employees of the Pak Public Works Department (PWD) boycotted their duties in Minister Enclave, Federal Lodges and Gulshan Jinnah over non-payment of their salaries. The protesting employees said it was not possible for them to meet both ends without salaries in current era of high inflation.

They said that patience of the employees of Pak PWD should not be tested anymore. The employees threatened to encircle Pak PWD headquarters if government failed to ensure payment till May 21.

Meanwhile, hundreds of employees also protested against non-payment of salaries at head office under the aegis of Pak PWD United Worker’s Federation.
