Six suspected militants arrested

KARACHI  - The Rangers on Thursday claimed to have arrested six members of a banned militant outfit and recovered arms and ammunition from them, officials said.A spokesman for the Rangers said a ‘targeted’ operation against criminals was underway in Karachi’s different areas in the wake of recent firing incidents.Eighteen suspected miscreants were nabbed during the operation, he said, adding that six members of a banned outfit were captured from Bin Qasim Town area during the crackdown.He said they were planning terrorist activities in the city.He added four explosive devices, arms and ammunitions were also recovered from them.Reportedly, six people, including two cops, ST men and an MQM worker were killed in violence.
