RAWALPINDI  - Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will launch pilot project of evening classes for child labourers , dropouts and out of school children so that they can get free education up to matriculation level in evening and improve the economic prospects.
This project will be especially beneficial for those needy children who could not go to schools in morning due to various reasons. In this regard, a meeting was held on Saturday at PEF office, which was attended by representatives of nine different nongovernmental organisations working in the field of education in various districts. The representatives of these NGOs shared their success stories on relevant projects. PEF Director (EVS) Maleeha Batool, who presided over the meeting, briefed the participants about objectives of the meeting and sought their expert opinion to make evening classes project a success story.
She asked the NGOs to share key issues like their target setting, procedure of child-identification, project duration, cost, infrastructure, assessment, curriculum and teachers recruitment policies with the PEF .
