Islamabad - The special investigation unit of Islamabad police has succeeded to bust a gang of dacoits and recovered three pistols along with ammunition from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

The unit on a tip-off raided a hideout of dacoits in sector I-11 and nabbed six dacoits along with weapons red-handed as they were planning for committing a dacoity in the area of Islamabad.

The gangsters have been identified as Said Wali, an Afghan national living presently in Tarnol area of Islamabad, Hazrat Wali, an Afghan national living presently in slum area near Sabzi Mandi Islamabad, Usman, resident of slum area near Sabzi Mandi Islamabad, Habib-Ur-Rehman, resident of Mohmand Agency presently residing in Rawalpindi, Muhammad Nabi, an Afghan national living presently at Habib Colony Rawalpindi, and Ibrar Ahmed, resident of Shah Khalid Colony Rawalpindi. One of their accomplices managed to escape from the scene and efforts are underway to arrest him.
