LAHORE  - A number of religious scholars from Brelivi school of thought Sunday issued a joint decree against suicide attacks inside and outside Pakistan and termed them against the ideology of Islam.

They at “Shayokul Hadith Conference” which was held under the aegis of Tanzeem Ittehad Ummat declared the Jihad (Holy War) philosophy of Tehreek-e-Talban Pakistan, ISIS, Boko Haram and al-Shahab as misleading and against the Holy Quran’s conditions for Jihad.

They spoke against the seatrain violence and stressed for the promotion of peace and love among humanity. The ulma said the Jihadi organisations’ understanding about Islam was based on ignorance and added the so-called organisations in Muslim World have had no knowledge about Islam.

The joint declaration issued by them asked for moderation and emphasised the west and Islamic world should promote dialogue and that the terror acts of Jihadi groups were promoting lawlessness and destruction in the whole world.

The declaration, at the same time, termed the death sentence awarded to Mumtaz Qadri by Islamabad Hight Court as against the Islamic Shariah and demanded the honourable acquittal of the murderer of slain Punjab Governor. The ulma justified the action of Mumtaz Qadri and said the ‘blasphemous act of Salman Taseer deserved not less than a death penalty.’

The declaration asked for the immediate release of “Ahle Sunnat patriot scholars” which were arrested under amplifier ordinance.

The scholars praised the Parliament resolution on Yemeni issue and asked the government to act as mediator for establishment of peace in two Muslim countries.

Those who attended the conference were Dr Raghib Naeemi, Mufti Siddique Hazarvi, Justice (r) Mian Nazeer, Khan Muhammad Qadri, Ziaul Haq Naqashbandi and others.
