BANNU - Another polio case has surfaced in Bannu district on Tuesday after which tally in the province has mounted to six.
The KP Health Department sources said that nine-month old Noor hailing from Hafizabad area of Bannu, shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, was found affected with polio virus.
With the recent case over all polio cases detected across the province during the current year has reached to six.
The residents of Bannu have expressed concern over the detection of polio case despite repeated immunisation campaigns have urged the Health Department for more precautionary measures to save the innocent children of lifetime disability.
On the other hand, health hand the Health Department officials termed the surfacing of polio case as occasional and said that all steps were being taken to make KP as polio free province.
They also appealed the parents to cooperate with vaccination teams to achieve the goals.
