MULTAN-Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that he is against corruption and ready to extend all-out cooperation for its elimination.

Addressing a gathering of party workers outside his residence here on Tuesday, he said that he was in court when Ali Haider Gillani reached Lahore from Kabul. “I am going to Karachi tomorrow to appear before a court,” he disclosed.

The former premier said that he is happy that Mian Nawaz Sharif came to the parliament and asked the speaker to constitute a committee for TORs. “We have always strived for the supremacy of the parliament. We’re happy that opposition leaders including Imran Khan came to the parliament too,” he added. He said that the traditions set by his government are being carried forward.

He said that some people blamed that he had hidden Ali Haider Gilani but the time and circumstances proved that he was in custody of terrorists. He said that he and his family bore the agony of kidnapping of Ali Haider Gilani with courage and bravery. He said that he was thankful to Hillary Clinton and other international leaders who extended support for the recovery of his son and congratulated him.
