Asfandyar thanks Sindhis for help to rain-hit people

KARACHI - Heading a 13-member delegation, President Awami National Party, Asfandyar Wali Monday met Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. His delegation included ANP stalwart Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, President ANP Sindh Shahi Syed, Provincial Minister Amir Nawab and others. Sindh Government was represented by Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Huq, Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza, Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani, Agriculture Minister Ali Nawaz Shah, General Secretary PPP Sindh Nafis Siddiqi, Advisor Rashid Rabbani, Special Assistant Waqae Mehdi and others. According to official sources both leaders exchanged views on matters of common interests. Asfandyar Wali thanked the Chief Minister and people of Sindh for their financial and material help towards the losses caused by torrential rains in Frontier Province. Syed Qaim Ali Shah apprised the ANP Chief about ongoing development activities and projects in Sindh. He said that Sindh is the soil of sufis and saints who always preached love, brotherhood and cohesion. He said all those living in Sindh are Pakistanis and patriots and playing their complete role towards national development. Asfandyar Wali thanked for the love exhibited by the people and government of Sindh and their hospitality. Later, the Chief Minister hosted luncheon for Asfandyar Wali and members of his delegation. He also presented Sindh's traditional gifts of cap and ajrak to them.
