LAHORE - Two second-half substitutes  put up fine display as PEL inflicted 2-1 win over NBP  at Railway Stadium, Lahore today in Pakistan Premier Soccer League match. Meanwhile, PTV suffered 1-2 defeats at the hands of KPT 1-2 at PSB Ground near Hamidi Hall, Islamabad. Navy took advantage of an own goal to overcome  KESC 3-0 at Naval Complex , Islamabad. PTV suffered 18th defeat in the event as they lost to KPT 1-2 . The portmen were 1-0 up at interval with striker Shahid Saleem's 20th minute goal. KPT continued their fine style under coach Muhammad Talib and made it 2-0 through Abdul Rehman in the 60th minute. PTV slotted honor-saving goal through skipper Zarrar Pirzada in the 76th minute. PTV earned five points from 21 matches while KPT had collected 41 points from 23 games Navy imposed 3-0 win over KESC, scoring all goals inside 25 minutes. The seamen broke the ice in the closing stages of first half through Sajjad Ahmed. An own goal by KESC's defender Umar Farooq in the 67th minute enhanced the lead to 2-0 and three minutes later spearhead Muhammad Basharat sealed the fate of the match with spectacular goal. Pakistan Navy secured 33 points from 22 outings while KESC pocketed 26 points from as many matches. The NBP-PEL clash saw outstanding display of Lahore-based team in second session as PEL registered three more points with 2-1 win. The bankers were the better team n first half, getting the opener in the 28th minute. Referee Rauf Bari penalized PEL stopper Najam Ul Sehar for handball infringement and NBP's skipper Abdul Aziz converted the resultant penalty kick with uppish kick on left corner past keeper Ahmed Shahzad. NBP led 1-0 at interval. PEL reduced the arrears in the 67th minute through skipper Muzaffar Ali. Midfielder Sagheer Ahmed's long throw caused panic in the NBP area, and Muzaffar Ali was on hand to sweep the ball in. Winger Asmat Ullah dummied keeper Amir Gul with off the ball body movement as the ball rolled over the goal line. PEL's coach Asghar Anjum made tactical change sending Rizwan Asif and Amer Hamza in place of Muhammad Rashid and Din Badshah respectively in the 65th and 83rd minute respectively. It worked for him nicely as Rizwan's curled the ball in from left wing in the 88th minute and Hamza caught the ball, thumping the ball into right corner, leaving Gul stranded.
