LAHORE – FIA Immigration authorities arrested two travel agents allegedly involved in exporting illegal travelers, said an officer of Immigration on Saturday.

He said that an FIR had been registered against six agents and the FIA passport Cell had started investigations against them. He said that three passengers, Muhammad Zaman, Zahid and Kaleem Ashraf were going to Libya on fake visas. After being notified by officials the Immigration officers asked them on how they managed the fake visas on which they disclosed the names of six agents.

Among the agents included Dr. Saleem of Sheikhupura and Abdul Majid of Lahore who were arrested by the immigration authorities since they were present at Allama Iqbal International Airport to facilitate the passengers.

While four others including Akram, Muadasir and Muhammad Anees from Gujrat and Anees from Sadhoki were at large and FIA was raiding to arrest them. The immigration officer said that all the passengers were allowed to go home and the illegal travel agents were arrested.

He said that illegal agents were involved in minting money from innocent passengers and issuing them visas without protectors. He was of the view that Libya visa cost Rs. 15000 to 20000 but the agents had charged Rs. 300000 to Rs. 400000 from each
