GUJRANWALA - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Secretary General Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has urged the government to hold in time elections.

He also warned the government to stay away from ill-wills as well as carrying out 'foreign agendas' to destabilise the country.

Abdul Ghafoor Haideri expressed the views while talking to the media during his visit to Jamia Usmania where he came to condole the death of former Member of National Assembly Qazi Hameed Ullah. Former Senator Dr Ismail Buleedi also accompanied him.

"Unfortunately, everything is being run on ad-hoc basis in the country and government and its departments have failed to chalk out clear strategies for the progress of the country," the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl leader claimed, adding that's why Railways and other departments had failed to deliver and had became a burden on the national exchequer.

He demanded the government to stop discriminatory actions against religious Madrasas and warned that tackling of more than four million students of these seminaries would be impossible for the government.

"All tactics and designs aim at making the country a secular will be thwarted as Pakistan is destined to progress as an Islamic welfare republic to doomsday", He pledged.

Maulana Haideri also urged for the withdrawal of flat rates of sui gas and taxes exemption for mosques and religious madrasas.
