Nawaz says N manifesto has everything




LAHORE– Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif has said that the manifesto of his party is being prepared with a focuson raising living standards of the masses and protecting sovereignty of the country.
Presiding over the second round of the PML-N Manifesto committee at the party secretariat on Saturday, Nawaz said: “The manifesto carries a comprehensive roadmap to end poverty,bring prosperity, safeguard independence and sovereignty of Pakistan and make the nation stand head high globally.
He said that party manifesto was a serious document and ‘we must have to fulfil the promises made in it.’ He said that a party should promise only those things in the manifesto which it actually could do after assuming the power.
The former premier said that though his previous two governments were overthrown half way, yet his party did whatever it could to materialise commitments made in the manifesto and went even beyond to execute projects for public good.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, PML-N central leaders and lawmakers also attended the meeting. Party experts on economy, law, industry, agriculture, education, foreign affairs, Information Technology, and the social sectorspresented reports and made recommendations on their domain to improvise the manifesto. The next meeting will peruse the reports of the experts.
