PMA moves LHC over fee issue

LAHORE  – The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court about fee structure and admissions of private medical colleges.
In the petition, the association requested the LHC for decreasing fee of private medical colleges and standard of medical education in the private medical colleges, Pakistan Medical Association  general secretary Dr Izhar Kazmi said. The hearing of the petition will be held on November 20, he added.
According to him, the organisation decided to approach court for public interest because most of the students could not afford the high fee of the private medical institutions, though they were talented.
Two AIGs transferred: Punjab Inspector General of Police Muhammad Habibur Rehman on Saturday transferred two police officers.
Capt (retd) Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj, AIG Vegilance CPO Lahore, has been transferred and posted as AIG Admin while  Lt (retd) Muhammad Ahmad Kamal AIG Admin has been transferred and posted as AIG Career Planing.
Public problems: The Pakistan People’s Party Women Wing Lahore president Faiza Malik has said the PPP is the only party which can resolve the issues of the poor in the country.
Talking to a delegation of the Pakistan People’s Party  workers at her office, she said the PPP would make clean sweep victory in the upcoming general elections under the leadership of  the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
She said the Pakistan People’s Party had become the most popular party of the country, including in Punjab. She added the rule of Punjab was slipping from hands of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership.
“The Pakistan People’s Party is struggling for rights of the people and democracy while its workers and leadership is ready to make any sacrifice for democracy and the country”, she added.
