ISLAMABAD - Test player Sohail Tanveer heroics helped ZTBL beat State Bank by four wickets in the Grade-I President's Trophy’s seventh round match here at Diamond cricket ground on Saturday.

Sohail Tanveer took 11 wickets in the match conceding 86 runs and along with Haris he also played a match-winning innings of 25 runs that proved beneficial in chasing the victory total by ZTBL Needing exactly 200 runs for victory, ZTBL achieved the target in 42.2 overs after losing 6 wickets in the process, Haris Sohail remained unbeaten at 68, Kashif Siddiqui took 4 for 32. Earlier resuming their innings at the overnight total of 140-9 in 52 overs, State Bank were bowled out for the same total while facing 5 deliveries, M. Khalil took 5 for 48, while man of the match Sohail Tanveer chipped in with 4 for 25. 

HBL beat UBL: At Pindi Cricket Stadium, HBL beat UBL by 251 runs. United Bank resumed their second innings at the overnight total of 114 for the loss of 3 wickets in 30 overs and were bowled out for 177 in 50.3 overs. Kashif Bhatti 38, Abid Ali 34 and Imran Ali 30 were the main contributors. For HBL Umar Gul picked up 5-42 while Aslam Qureshi 2-26 and Ehsan Adil 2-56 also bowled well.

Port Qasim victorious: At KRL Stadium, Port Qasim won by six wickets against KRL. Port Qasim raced on to achieve the required target of 83in 23 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Khurram Manzoor 22 and M Salman 18 not out. Yasir Ali took 3-25.

Earlier, KRL resumed their second innings at the overnight total of 135-9 in 31.2 overs and were all out at 136 in 33.1 overs adding just one run to the total. Hamza Piracha 42 and Noman Ali 41 were the main runs getters,  Tanvir Ahmed took 4 for 37 and Azam Hussain also chipped in with 3 for 39.
