RAWALPINDI - Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) under a special campaign has removed wall chalking, banners and posters from the city streets and main roads of the Rawal Town, especially from the routes of the Muharram processions.

According to details, on the Special Directives of Administrator Rawal

Town Saif Anwar Jappa, Municipal Administration had started the campaign to remove wall-chalking from main city areas. Special teams under the supervision of Town Officer Regulation and Superintendent were given the task that have removed wall-chalking, banners and posters from all areas.

Administrator Rawal Town urged the citizens to cooperate with the Municipal Administration staff and not violate the orders about wall chalking.

Meanwhile, the administrator also issued directives to carry out special raids to remove encroachments from different city areas. Tehsil Municipal Authority (TMA) Rawal Town is also finalised arrangements for Muharram-ul-Harram.

Administrator Rawal Town Saif Anwar Jappa had directed Town Municipal  Officer (TMO) Ahmed Kamal that all the repair work of street lights and roads should be completed up to fifth of Muharram. According to spokesman of TMA, Rawal Town, Town Officer Regulation (TOR) Aftab Chohan has strictly been directed that he himself should monitor all the Muharram preparations work on daily basis.

All the encroachments should also be removed from the routes of the processions. Arrangements to facilitate the mourners during Muharam-ul-Haram are being made, he added. Building materials and other debris from roadsides of the routes of the processions are being removed by the staff concerned.
