PESHAWAR - Police foiled a major terror bid by defusing eight-kilogram pressure cooker bomb planted in Army Public School and College in Zamzama area of Nowshera cantonment on Tuesday.

Local sources said that bomb was planted in the main entrance rout of the college, which is frequently used by the students and college staff.

Police after receiving the information called the bomb disposal squad and defused the device successfully. The main GT road remained block for traffic as the army and police has been deployed to avert any misshape. Police launched search operation in the area and started investigation.
