ISLAMABAD:- Pakistan has conveyed to the Afghan government deep concern over the increasing instances of cross-border shelling from Afghanistan. In a statement, the Foreign Office Spokesman said yesterday that five rockets were fired from Afghanistan at Angoor Adda Check Post in South Waziristan last Sunday. He said military authorities of Afghanistan were immediately contacted to prevent further escalation of the situation.–Staff Reporter

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has also sought from the US authorities and Afghan government plugging of escape routes on Pak- Afghan border.

Pakistan is in the final push against terrorists and their sanctuaries in North Waziristan and Khyber Agency through the operation Zarb-e-Azb.

According to credible reports, some of the key leaders and members of the defunct TTP have fled into Afghanistan and established their sanctuaries along the border regions. They are operating from Afghanistan and using its territory against Pakistan.
