Arth – The Destination drops first song

Arth – The Destination, the remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth, releases its first song Sanwar Dey Khudaya by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan yesterday.

The public has huge expectations from the film with respect to music for the film being a romantic musical, with Sahar Ali Bhagga as its music composer. Sanwar Dey Khudaya gives an insight into the film by enacting heartbreaking and climactic moments on Rahat’s melodic voice.

Shaan, the director of this highly anticipated film—starring himself, Mohib Mirza, Humaima Malik and Uzma Hassan as leads—believes that a romantic musical befits each one of the selected actors featured in the film. The inherent motif of doing so was to ensure least detachment between their actual lives and the roles they were enacting in the film.

Precisely, this seems like an attempt of keeping a reflection of real life upon a cinematic performance. Likewise, the song accomplishes the same purpose of casting a mere reflection of what subject the movie revolves around, keeping the viewers curious and, at the same time, privy to what comes in the film.

The vocals of Rahat atop Sahar Ali Bagga’s composition play an interesting mix of emotion and drama. Rahat, with the devotional depth in his voice has undoubtedly been a much apt choice for this song.

Mahesh Bhatt, director of the original film Arth — released in 1982, starring Samita Patil, Raj Kiran, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Shabana Azmi - became the focus of attention for his tweet.

The film is expected to be released worldwide in cinemas on December 21st, 2017.
