ECP readies for delimitation process

 

Islamabad : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday held a meeting to start the process of delimitation of constituencies ahead of the next general election.

The ECP on Friday convened a meeting of all provincial chief secretaries chaired by ECP Secretary Babar Yaqoob to discuss the issue of delimitation. 

The meeting decided to start a special campaign in 79 districts across the country for the enlistment of women as voters next month.

Entry of all female voters in the electoral rolls will be ensured, the meeting said. It was decided that the registration of cards of female voters in collaboration with NADRA and the civil society will be ensured.

The data-feeding process of computerized voters’ lists will be completed by next month.
