CHITRAL:- A huge fire gutted at least 50 shops and vehicles in Landa Bazaar in Darosh area of Chitral. The fire erupted due to unknown causes late Thursday night and engulfed nearby houses and shops. The blaze was so intense that the flames spread to Shehzada Zia auto market. Besides Darosh, fire tenders were also called from Chitral, which doused the blaze after hectic efforts of six hours. Local volunteers, police, Chitral scouts and fire brigade officials also assisted in dousing the fire.
Darosh Police SHO said that the fire destroyed 50 shops, four vehicles and four motorcycles whereas adjacent houses were also seriously damaged.-INP
