ISLAMABAD -  On the directives of the prime minister, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched relief goods to the Iran earthquake victims.

A full load of C-130 plane carrying 12 tons of relief goods left for Tehran from Noor Khan Airbase on Friday afternoon, said a press release.

The shipment included 165 tents, 1,050 blankets, 200 tarpaulin, 200 plastic mats, perishable items and other supplies. The relief consignment was handed over by the NDMA team to Iranian officials at the Tehran airport.

Pakistan and Iran enjoy a long-standing friendship, which has been reflected in every hour of need. The government of Pakistan has reiterated the resolve to provide all possible assistance to help the bereaved families.
