SIALKOT-The students of Govt Special Education Centre, Daska have been suffering great difficulties in reaching the centre due to the non-availability of the transportation facility for the last four years.

The centre management said that 140 students are enrolled with posting of eleven teachers but no transport facility for these students has been provided so far for the students. The management added that there were two official buses that were set ablaze in on the school premises in 2013 by some unknown persons when the school was closed due to weekly holiday of Sunday.

Since then, no vehicles has so far been provided for the Govt Special Education Center by the Punjab government despite the passage of four consecutive years. The management added that the school had hired a private van for the transportation of the students belonging to the rural parts of Daska tehsil.

However, the families of the students belonging to urban areas are forced to arrange their own private transportation as the school is located near village Jandu Sahi, about 3km away from Daska city. The special students from Daska city have been suffering great ordeal.

The special students and their parents are much perturbed due to non-availability of the official transport. They urged the government to take note of the critical situation and ensure the early provision of vehicles for the children.

BODY FOUND: The dead body of Christian leader Emanuel Zahid was found from local Nullah Aik near Bhopalwala. According to the Sambrial police, the slain victim went missing a day earlier . Some unknown accused strangulated him and threw his dead body to conceal their sin. The police handed over the dead body to the grieved family for burial after autopsy. Police have started investigation with no clue or arrest in this regard. Local Christian community has expressed grave concern over the murder demanding arrest of the perpetrator(s).
