Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, stressing the need for expeditious establishment of the DNA laboratory in Karachi, has instructed the Finance Department to release the funds of rupees 200 million to this effect.
He was presiding over a meeting of the experts of the laboratory technology including the Vice Chancellors of University of Karachi and LUMHS (Liaqat University of Medical & Health Sciences) Jamshoro, Hyderabad. Sindh Health Care Management Chairman, ACS Health, Secretary Home, DIG Police Training and JPMC Director Dr Seemi Jamali, other senior officers.
Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah advised the Police Training DIG Sharjeel to organize a training seminar within a couple of days to maintain the LMOs, prosecutors and police officers were linked to the services of DNA and forensic lab. The chief secretary noted that 30 areas land has been allocated for forensic lab in Karachi.
