Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday addressed a public gathering at Aga Khan Polo Ground in Gilgit and said that after coming into power, we will make your democratic and legal rights a reality.
He said PPP will promote the relationship Zulfikar Ali Bhutto created with the people of Gilgit-Baltistan because PPP has had a relationship with Gilgit for three generations. The PPP gave Gilgit-Baltistan the status of an administrative province.
He said that the PPP government gave constitutional rights to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan but later, these rights were denied and neglected. He said PPP stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in their struggle for rights as well as development of the region.
He criticized PTI government and said that the PTI promised five million houses to the people, but they are actually snatching the roofs from people’s heads and labeling it by encroachments.
He said that youth is unemployed and that the country is heading towards an economic crisis. On the other hand, in Naya Pakistan our lives and property are not safe, he added.
The premier used to talk about committing suicide rather than taking more loans, but now they are celebrating getting loans, lamented Bilawal.
He said that he believes the people of Gilgit will support the PPP in the next elections.
