Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has spoken of her nerves as she prepares for a live performance of her new single Fight For This Love on X Factor. Mrs Cole, who is mentoring the boys aged 16-25 on the ITV1 show, admitted she was so nervous about Sunday that she had banned all the other members of Girls Aloud from coming to see her. The 26-year-old said: The girls are itching to come down to support me when I perform but I kind of dont want them to - because it is more scary. Asked if husband Ashley or her mother would be in the studio, Cole said: If my family are sat in the crowd... it depends which members of my family are in the crowd - some of them make me feel like 'Yeah Im ready, and some make me feel 'Oh God no - Dads in the crowd so no, no family or friends. Mrs Cole will appear on the Sunday night edition of X Factor alongside Whitney Houston, who will make her British comeback after years of battling drug abuse. She said: There are just nerves in the building - the contestants are giving off nervous energy, their family and friends are giving off nervous energy, and on top of that Im going to go out and sing, and on top of that Whitney Houston is going to also sing too Mrs Cole will sing most of her performance live, with the rest coming on top of a pre-recorded track, according to a report in the Daily Mail. Producers of the programme will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the controversy on last weeks programme during which Dannii Minogue made a quip about contestant Danyl Johnsons sexuality that prompted nearly 4,000 complaints to media watchdog Ofcom. It will be the second week that the programme is without X Factor judge and Boyzone manager Louis Walsh who was attending the funeral in Dublin of Stephen Gately. Telegraph
