KARACHI (APP) - Shah Faisal Town administration, on public complaints, removed over 100 encroachments including push carts, patharas and cabins from various roads, footpaths besides illegal constructions from government property. According to details, the action was taken as these encroachments were hindering the smooth traffic flow resulting in growing public complaints. The Towns anti-encroachment cell went into action with full force and eliminated encroachments and illegal parking. Meanwhile Acting Town Nazim Irtiza Farooqui directed that strict control on encroachments and parking on roads, footpaths and service roads from Malir River Bridge to Shama Shopping Center and Shah Faisal flyover be ensured. He directed the Regulation department to chalk out a line of action to conttrol encroachments and illegal constructions in all the areas of Shah Faisal Town. He appealed to trade associations and businessmen to co-operate with the Town administration for SFTs increased beautification and to provide an encroachment-free environment. New sewerage lines laid in UC-11 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Nazim Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Mohammed Wasey Jalil has inaugurated the new sewerage lines laid in UC-11 at a cost of Rs4.5 million. The 15 and 12 inch dia lines have been laid in Railway Society, Commissioner Society and Bhayani Heights where residents were facing great inconvenience because of old and broken leaking lines. The Town Administration also carried out cleaning of 8000 feet of running sewerage main lines. Talking to residents on the occasion the Town Nazim said that provision of facilities to people are the priorities of Haq Parast leadership, a proof of which is the development works carried out during the last four years. He urged them to perform their responsibilities as being good citizens and protect the completed projects as they protect their homes.
