KARACHI (APP) - PIA bowlers led the fight-back after they were bowled out for 320 in their first inning on the day two of their four-day Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Trophy second round match against SSGC at the UBL Sports Complex here on Saturday. PIA, who resumed at 219-3, lost their seven wickets for the addition of only 101 runs. But they fought back by reducing SSGC to 127 for the loss of six wickets when the stumps were drawn for the day. Kamran Sajid could add only five runs to his overnight score of 92 before being trapped leg before by test fast bowler Sohail Khan, who picked-up an impressive haul of five wickets in 30 overs. None of the PIA lower order batsmen could come to terms with the hostile bowling of Sohail Khan. When SSGC batted they got off to nightmarish start losing the prized-scalp of Asif Zakir on the first ball of the innings. Asif having scored 91 and 122 not out in the previous game failed to trouble the scorer. SSGC staged a partial recovery through skipper Saeed Bin Nasir and opener Bilal Asad but their departure in quick succession put PIA on top. Saeed scored 49 off 69 balls with six boundaries. Left arm seamer Najaf Shah, medium pacer Aizaz Bin Ilyas and off-spinner Shoaib Malik picked-up two wickets each to consolidate the position of the airliners. Summarised scores: PIA 320 all out in 115.3 overs (Kamran Sajid 97, Fahad Iqbal 79, Tahir Khan 24 not out, Sohail Khan 5-102, Shakil-ur-Rehman 2-69) SSGC 127-6 in 48 overs (Saeed Bin Nasir 49, Bilal Asad 20, M Masroor 20, Shoaib Malik 2-10, Aizaz Bin Ilyas 2-21, Najaf Shah 2-23).
