The ruling Pakistan Peoples Party is observing the martyrdom anniversary of its activists who lost their lives as a result of blast at their party's mass rally at Karsaz on October 18, 2007 held to welcome Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on return from abroad. Party activists posted scores of banners in various parts of the city, reminding people of the incident in which several of their colleagues were killed while their leader Benazir Bhutto had narrowly managed to escape a loss. The party banners also carry inscriptions appealing people to join them in remembering their martyred colleagues.
