LAKKI MARWAT - DPO Idrees Khan said that the provision of heavy weapons has enhanced the professional capacities of the police force enabling it to launch effective actions against miscreants. He said this while speaking at the concluding ceremony of a one-week training workshop on use of heavy weapons in Police Lines. He also gave away course completion certificates to the cops and inspected demonstration of heavy weapons using skills by them.
He said that police force rendered sacrificed against militancy and restored peace and tranquility in restive and volatile areas at the cost of their lives. He told that the training on use of heavy weapons would enable the force to fight against miscreants and terrorists in an effective manner.
He added that more cops would also be imparted training in next phases to increase their professional capabilities.
